Hi Babes –

Good Afternoon!

So I admit that I may not be some wine connoisseur but I sure am a passionate foodie. That inclined me to take a winery tour in Cape Town. We had the opportunity to tour some of the best wineries in the region like Fairview Winery, La Motte Winery, Stellenbosch, La Muratie, etc. Read on if you love a glass of wine or are a just a foodie like me!

I had no idea Cape Town had such a vibrant winery scene till I went on this tour. The best part was definitely the affordability aspect. The rand was in our favor so it was easy to splurge.

This tour was so awesome because we were able to sample many different types of wine from each and every winery.  It was not just for the wine, but it was also for the experience. The highlight was that each winery was so unique and had such a picturesque setting.

My favorite place for wine and lunch, is La Motte Winery. This place is seriously the definition of excellence.  The decoration is also to die for as they had a modern aesthetic with with a creative interior.  They also have such tranquil gardens on the grounds and amazing oak trees as well. The food is a blend of distinct tastes from all over the world but curated with a South African touch.  They have diverse flavors from the Cape Wine lands and spices from all over the world that will surely tantalize your taste buds.

The head chef was so accommodating towards us since we are strict vegetarians and he decided to transform the meat dishes and make them vegetarian for us.  The food was made with fresh vegetables, herbs, and spices. Each dish was exotic and we enjoyed the experience.  We seriously had a feast and cherished every minute!

We also visited a few other wineries and munched on some cheese, chocolate, and crackers. It was a foodie day and we had no regrets. If you plan a trip to Cape Town, make sure to include a trip to the wineries on your list!

PS. I kept my look simple yet stylish and wore this black halter dress from Nordstrom Rack which you can find here. I also wore a pair of pom pom heels from Steve Madden which you can find here.

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post. Now I would love to hear from you, do you love wine and whats your favorite type? Let me know in the comments below, xoxo!

Love,
Alisha
