fullsizerenderHi Babes,

Hope all is well. I am working hard to keep Saffron on Rose fresh and interesting by posting content almost every day. I hope you all are enjoying it and please let me know in the comments because your feedback means the most.

Just as a recap, I went to Cape Town, South Africa with my family and we spent 4 days there. It was a quick trip because we had other parts of Africa planned, but we made the most of our time here. It was surely an adventurous time where we saw a lot and did many highlights fast. I did not mind because I love exploring but it was not the definition of a relaxed vacay ;).

Anyways now onto the post –

The first thing I thought of when I was writing this post is the song I’m in Miami B*tch by LMFAO. Who remembers the lyrics where they say, “You’re looking kind of cute in that polka dot bikini girl”? Random thought , but such a funny nostalgic moment! Hehe.

So moving on, I shot this look at Camps Bay Beach. This was hands down my favorite place in Cape Town. It kind of reminds me of Beverly Hills in California and Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia. Its so amazing and had a relaxed vibe. Camps Bay Beach is lined with gorgeous palm trees , and the best part is the white sand on the beach. The ocean water is crystal clear and it is just such a calming place. The side of the street is lined with one of a kind cafes where you can get your coffee, juice, or lunch. I had to stop by to get a fresh juice after the shoot.

I decided to wear this vintage inspired bikini from Ami Club Wear. I found some similar suits here  and here. I loved the dark blue color and polka dots. I had to throw on some red lipstick and I just felt like I was living life in a different era!

I will be honest that I am not one to do beach shoots (I am more of a street style chic) but I wanted to try something new since I was traveling. I always try to keep my content interesting and it never hurts to try something new right!?

The reason I love this Ami Club Wear bikini is because its so wonderful for all body types. It literally is flattering on every figure and shows off the best in you. I am a curvy girl and definitely self conscious when it comes to showing off my body. The good news is I felt fully confident in this bikini which hugged my curves in all the right places.

Now as I type this post, I am thinking of the crystal blue waters, windy breeze, and sand in between my toes. I have never been a beach bum (shame on me right!) , but South Africa made me one (hehe). I also enjoyed how this beach had little secluded parts so it did not feel like a tourist trap at all.

Hope you all enjoyed this post! Please let me know what you think in the comments. Are you a beach bum or more of a city girl? Whats your ideal look to get beach ready?

Thanks so much for reading.

Best,

Alisha
